Pitch Representation has added two experienced intermediaries to its football division with the hiring of Alex Hughes and Charlie Akinwunmi.
Hughes joins with more than 12 years-experience working in football, having spent time at Blackburn Rovers, Manchester City & Fulham. Prior to coming on board as an intermediary at Pitch Representation, Hughes was most recently Head of Scouting while working with Kia Joorabchian, who he spent four and a half years with.
Akinwunmi arrives with more than seven years’ experience in the industry, most recently having been at Beswicks Sports.
Pitch Representation CEO Neil Bailey said it had been a big 18 months for the football side of the business.
“As a relatively new player in the athlete management business it’s been pleasing to see the development of our football department,” said Bailey.
“We now have collaborations in Holland, France, Italy, and Portugal and represent over 100 players, so it’s important we continue to find the right people to provide our clients with the best possible service, and both Alex and Charlie have the experience and skillset to do that.
“We’ve had some highlight moments over the last year; Kieran Trippier’s transfer to Atletico Madrid, three of our players in the Cricket World Cup Final, (Kane Williamson, Tom Latham, Henry Nicholls) one in the recent Rugby World Cup semi-final (Tomos Williams) and one in the Champions League Final.
"We want to continue doing our part to enable our clients to prosper.”
