Pitch Representation’s Chris McKee has had a big week.
The 16-year-old striker was a part of the winning Rangers youth side (The ‘Gers) at the Alkass International Cup earlier this week, victorious over AS Roma in the final via a dramatic penalty shoot-out.
The Qatar tournament saw 12 teams attend, with The Gers overcoming the likes of Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Paris St Germain. Having scored a hattrick in the quarter-final, McKee came off the bench in the final and was eventually victorious 9-8 on penalties.
Following the triumph, McKee was quickly back on the pitch, this time for the Northern Ireland U17 team.
While Greece would go on to win 3-1, it was McKee with a header in the second-half which kept the Irish team’s chances alive.
McKee's exploits this week haven’t gone unnoticed either, with the Belfast Live heaping praise on the rising talent.
