Cricket world lauds Williamson ahead of World Cup Final

New Zealand Cricket captain Kane Williamson has been praised by media, players and fans from around the world, after leading the BLACKCAPS to the Cricket World Cup Final at Lord’s.

Williamson, a client of Pitch Representation, stunned tournament favourites India in the semi-final in Manchester when he guided New Zealand to a famous 19-run victory.

The 28 year-old has been prolific this world cup, having scored 548 runs at a tournament-high average of 91.33. While his batting has been remarkable, it’s also his captaincy and leadership which has led to Williamson being regarded as one of the players of the tournament.

And now, having helped his country of 4.8 million people dash the hopes of 1.3 billion cricket fanatics in India, Williamson and the BLACKCAPS will have the opportunity to help New Zealand lift the world cup for the first time.

Here’s some of the reaction to Williamson’s efforts so far…

The final will be played at 10.30am this Sunday against hosts England, with Tom Latham of Pitch Representation also featuring for the BLACKCAPS – all the best to Kane and Tom in what will be a historic occasion!
